Naomi is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years clinical experience working with people across the age spectrum. Naomi holds Post Graduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology, is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is an assoc. member of the APS, having been awarded the APS Prize and University Medal when gaining her degrees.
Naomi has extensive experience working with children, young people and their families, which has enabled her to gain specific experience across all age groups. While her clinical focus has been with children and adolescents for many years, she is also experienced in working with adults, which she enjoys. Naomi has held positions as a Clinical Psychologist in various Health settings including Community Health, Mental Health and Primary Care. She enjoys working in multidisciplinary health settings to ensure best care for her clients. Naomi has provided university lectures in health and psychology fields and been involved in health promotion research.
Naomi is experienced in providing therapy for people with anxiety, depression and mood disorders, stress, relationship issues, mental illness, adjustment, trauma, eating disorders and problems, sleep and lifestyle, pain, grief, behaviour problems, attachment, school refusal, social and academic difficulties. Naomi is proficient in assessment and a range of evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy and Family Based Therapy (FBT). She is an approved Medicare Provider.
Naomi is committed to providing her clients with a supportive context in which they can gain enhanced understanding of themselves and be empowered by developing adaptive coping skills, to promote recovery, optimal health, development, and wellbeing.
Naomi enjoys living an active life incorporating exercise, being engaged in creative interests including music and art, and spending time with her children and husband.
