Dr. Anna Corbin - ATUNE Health Centres - General Practitioner - BMedSci MBBS FRACGP

Anna Corbin studied Medicine at the University of Wollongong, and then stayed locally in the Illawarra for her foundation years as a hospital Junior Medical Officer. She completed her General Practice training here in the Hunter region whilst she was also employed by the Air Force. Anna loves the breadth of General Practice, and has a keen interest in partnering with her patients to optimise their health and wellbeing through every season of life.

Treatment and special interests:

Anna enjoys caring for people of all ages, with expertise in Veteran’s health, workplace and sporting injuries, women's health, and menopause care. Having lived experience at military life, she is passionate about supporting Veterans through their initial transition out of Defence, and the provision of meaningful continuity of care that promotes holistic wellbeing. Her military rehabilitation experience also gives her a natural team-based mindset for managing complex integrated care. She thoroughly enjoys working with a range of allied health professionals and other medical specialists to enhance positive outcomes for her patients.

Anna is passionate about seeing her patients get the most out of life, and believes that everyone has potential to thrive.

Furthering her knowledge:

Anna is furthering her knowledge in Veteran’s care “on the outside” through DVA, and is considering further study in the field of Functional Medicine once the kids are a bit older. She is enjoying furthering her knowledge in holistic, lifestyle and natural therapies for her own wellbeing, and is therefore supportive of her patients who do the same.

Personal life:

When not at ATUNE she can be found enjoying quality time with her husband, three young sons, and their beloved border collie. She enjoys social hockey, swimming in the ocean when it’s raining, and solving Rubik’s cubes. Her love for anatomy and procedural work has drawn her to taking up one day per month assisting in surgery for a local Orthopaedic surgeon… “just for fun”.
