1. Ceramic Filter

The ceramic filter is made of fired Diatomite which is highly porous, composed of microscopically-small, coffin-like, hollow particles (porous size of 0.2-0.5 microns which is very small). The filter will block anything in the water that is larger than a water molecule (these larger contaminates are caught and remain on the top half of the ceramic filter). The ceramic filter will require cleaning on a monthly basis.

It removes

  • Rust, sediment, organic matter, bacteria, cysts, parasites and mirco organisms.
This filtration process does not remove chemical contaminants thus the need for the second level of filtration.

2. Activated High Quality Carbon.

Activated carbon, also called activated charcoal is a form of carbon that is extremely porous and has a very large surface area (68 acres in zazen filters) available for adsorption or filtration. Activated
carbon surface properties are both hydrophobic and oleophilic; that is, they “hate” water but “love”
oil. Dissolved chemicals in water flowing over the carbon surface “stick” to the carbon in a thin film
while the water passes on through.

This filter is very effective at:

  • Reducing organic & metallic contaminants
  • Absorbing chlorine, herbicides, pesticides, poisons, organic chemicals, odours
    and particulates.
This filter needs to be changed every 6 months as the carbon becomes clogged with foreign material.

3. Silver Activated Carbon.

Silver helps to kill bacteria and prevents the growth of mold and algae in the body of the filter. This keeps the quality of the water pure throughout its filtration life.

4. Fluoride Reduction Ceramic.

This is specifically designed for the effective filtration and reduction of fluoride.

5. Activated Zeolite

Activated Zeolite are microporous, aluminosilicate minerals commonly used as commercial adsorbents. Having very different properties to activated carbon it absorbs different chemicals and is able to:
  • Trap heavy metals such as lead, aluminium, nickel, cadmium and mercury.
  • Remove, detergents, ammonium, agricultural chemicals and other toxins
  • Inhibit bacteria.

6. Bio Ceramic Pi and Silica Sand

This additional filtration balances the pH and neutralizes the acidic components in tap water.
It also polishes the water to give it a clean sparkle.
The silica sand will infuse natural silica into the water which strengthens collagen for muscular repair and radiant hair and nails.

7. Mineral Stones

  •  Natural mineral stones – release Calcium, Iron, Magnesuim, Potassium, Silicon and
several other trace minerals that bring life to the water you are drinking.
  • Silver stones – Silver is natural anti bacteria agent, that helps kill or incapacitate bacteria
and prevents the growth of mold and algae in the lower tank.

NOTE: Silver is not released at any stage into the filtration process.
