Rebecca Reinking is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist who loves working with children and adolescents to develop their speech, social and communication skills. She holds a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences and a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Being both a mum and Speech Pathologist, Rebecca’s goal is to work with, educate and empower families and carers to be an active participant in the therapy process, so everyone is welcome in her room. Rebecca’s enthusiasm for learning and keeping up to date with the evidence has led her to join the ATUNE team to focus on her two biggest passions.

Rebecca will primarily work with children who have difficulties saying their speech sounds so that they can be understood by their family and friends. She likes to get lots of practice with hands-on therapy and tons of laughter!  She treats children with all types of speech sound disorders, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

She also has a passion for developing social communication skills and creating unique social groups for children and adolescents who have difficulties understanding the social world, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. In 2017, she completed the Social Thinking® Clinical Training Program.

Rebecca is very active in the speech pathology world where she blogs and creates therapy resources for other speech pathologists to engage and motivate their clients. She has worked in many different settings and prefers a team approach to liaise with the child’s family, school and other health professionals so that we are working towards a shared goal.

A keen traveller, Rebecca has been to over 50 countries and loves to do anything outdoorsy.
