Noah Malka – Osteopath
Health Sci, B. App. Sci. (Osteopathy) RMIT
Noah is a registered osteopath and member of the Australian Osteopathic Association. He moved to Newcastle in January 2017 after completing a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) in 2016 at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne.
During his final year of study, Noah completed osteopathic placements in India and outback Queensland.
In India, Noah worked in an orthopedic hospital in Mumbai, treating patients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds who presented with a wide range of injuries and conditions.
His two weeks in Queensland were spent travelling to remote areas to provide osteopathic care, exercise prescription and rehabilitation advice to draught affected farmers, as part of a volunteer outreach program. These unique experiences enabled Noah to develop the professional and interpersonal skills required to treat clients from all walks of life, and confirmed to him the importance of working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Noah’s interest in the human body developed from his keen participation in sport, having played competitive basketball, water polo and boxing. He was originally drawn to osteopathy because of its holistic philosophies and patient centered approach to healthcare. He welcomes the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Outside of osteopathy, Noah leads an active lifestyle and enjoys the great outdoors. His enthusiasm for surfing, camping and travel has led him to remote surfing destinations around the world. Being from Melbourne, Noah is a keen AFL supporter, but is looking forward to learning to love rugby as a New South Welshman!
