Kristen Andrews - ATUNE Health Centres  - Physiotherapist

Kristen was born and bred in Newcastle and graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in 2019. Prior to this, she studied Bachelor of Mathematics/Bachelor of Education for three years.

During her studies, Kristen volunteered and worked with a variety of sporting teams and had the opportunity to complete an 8-month placement with the Newcastle Knights juniors, helping her to gain valuable knowledge in diagnosing and treating sports injuries. She also worked at Lingard Private Hospital in the orthopedic and surgical wards, allowing her to gain valuable experience with postoperative procedures and joint replacements.

After graduating Kristen worked in private practice, community, and neurological physiotherapy, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions of people from all walks of life. She has a particular interest in treating sports injuries, especially those relating to the ankle and shoulder.

Kristen is passionate about using movement as medicine and likes to take a holistic, preventative approach to treat injuries. She believes that injuries vary greatly between individuals and likes to tailor her treatment techniques to be specific to the individual patient's needs.

When not at work Kristen can be found playing netball, at the gym, going for hikes, and spending time outdoors with her husband and family.’
