B.A. (Psych), Masters of Rehabilitation, Cert IV Crisis Telephone Counselling (Lifeline)

Cassie Hasson completed her Psychology degree at Newcastle University part-time to also be involved in raising a family and managing a business. She has worked as a Provisional Psychologist for 2 years in Newcastle, before this she was a rehabilitation consultant for people suffering from psychological injuries.

In her practice of psychology, Cassie works alongside adults and young people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, stress, suicide and trauma. She also works with the Indigenous community of the Hunter within the mental health team. Cassie also spends time volunteering as a telephone crisis supporter with Lifeline. She desires to see the stigma of suicide become more positive to allow people to be more open about their challenges to overcome them.

Outside of work, Cassie has three children and enjoys spending her time with family and friends, reading, renovating and listening to music. Time outdoors in the sunshine is always relished!!
