Dr Magdalena Wilczynska • Provisional Psychologist • ATUNE Health Centres
PhD, MPsych (Clin)
Magdalena (Magda) is a provisional psychologist and behavioural scientist with over 10 years of experience in health psychology, behaviour change, and applied research across clinical and community settings in Europe and Australia. Her work focuses on helping individuals translate intention into consistent, sustainable action in everyday life.
She supports both adults and children across a range of psychological concerns, including anxiety, stress, low mood, adjustment difficulties, and behaviour-related challenges. Magdalena takes a warm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach, tailoring her work to each individual’s needs, context, and goals.

Magdalena understands that change often makes sense in theory, but can be difficult to maintain when life is busy, stressful, or emotionally demanding. Rather than focusing only on goal setting, she works with clients to identify the patterns and barriers that interrupt progress, and helps build practical strategies and routines that are realistic and sustainable over time.
She has a growing interest in working with children and families, and is passionate about supporting young people to recognise, understand, and manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. She works collaboratively with families to develop practical strategies that support emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence in everyday settings.
Magdalena is also developing her skills in the assessment of neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and is becoming familiar with structured assessment tools used in clinical practice.
Her approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and integrates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and positive psychology, alongside behaviour change science and lifestyle-focused strategies such as movement, environment, and daily habits.
Alongside her clinical work, Magdalena has a strong background in research and implementation science, working with health services, government, and international collaborators to design and evaluate real-world health interventions. She brings this evidence-based foundation into her practice to support meaningful, lasting change.
Outside of work, Magdalena enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and incorporating movement and nature into everyday wellbeing.
