B. App. Sci. (Comp. Med), M. Ost
Nicola is a registered osteopath and member of the Australian Osteopathic Association. She attended the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Applied Science: Complementary Medicine and a Masters of Osteopathy. As a master’s student, Nicola furthered her osteopathic skills by attending consecutive summer schools in Canberra and undertaking a number of clinical placements in osteopathic practices around Australia. Since graduating Nicola has undertaken further study in the fields of obstetrics, posturology and osteopathy in the cranial field.
Nicola has always had an interest in health and was drawn to osteopathy because of its holistic philosophy and patient centred approach to healthcare. She appreciates the diversity of techniques and approaches that enable osteopaths to provide individual care to each client. Nicola moved from Melbourne to join ATUNE in 2012. She values the opportunity to work with like-minded professionals from multiple modalities and the comprehensive care that integrated medicine can provide. In 2015, Nicola’s special interest in maternity care led her to establish ATUNE’s Integrated Maternity Care department.
Outside of work, Nicola enjoys keeping active with a mixture of swimming, yoga and rock climbing. She loves to cook and is looking forward to setting up her own veggie garden. She is also currently learning French at Newcastle University.
