Catherine Coventry - ATUNE Health Centres - Osteopath
B.Sci (Clinical Science), M.Health Sci (Osteo).
Catherine moved to Newcastle from country Victoria in 2015 to begin working with the team at ATUNE. Catherine studied at Victoria University in Melbourne, earning a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences) and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). After graduating Catherine gained valuable experience working in the rural city of Shepparton, treating a wide variety of patients including young children, dairy farmers, solicitors, radio personalities, athletes, retirees and everyone in between!
Catherine highly values the multidisciplinary approach to healthcare that is at the heart of ATUNE’s vision. She believes in working together with other health professionals to provide the best possible patient care. Catherine enjoys using a variety of osteopathic techniques, tailoring treatment to suit the individual needs of the client.
Catherine has attended consecutive summer schools in Canberra as a student and a winter school in Melbourne as a graduate where she expanded on her technique base. In 2014 and 2016, she also attended running retraining and biomechanics courses to further her knowledge in this area and apply it to the treatment and rehabilitation of runners. Catherine has also completed post-graduate courses in paediatrics and obstetrics and Dry Needling Therapy.
During her high school years, Catherine represented Victoria in the triple jump, long jump and 400m events and enjoys using her sporting experience and osteopathic training to help athletes of all abilities get the most out of their sport. Catherine continues to train as a sprinter and hopes to return to competitive athletics in the near future. Away from the training track she enjoys singing, playing guitar and exploring the outdoors.
