Nicola Tonson - Osteopathy

Nicola is a new arrival to Newcastle, and the latest osteopath to join the team at ATUNE. She studied osteopathy at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science: Complementary Medicine and a Masters of Osteopathy. As a master’s student, Nicola developed her osteopathic skills by attending consecutive summer schools in Canberra and undertaking a number of clinical placements.

Nicola has always been interested in working as a healthcare professional, and she was drawn to osteopathy because of its holistic philosophy and individual approach to healthcare. She appreciates the diversity of techniques and skills available to osteopaths, which allow her to provide each patient with unique care. Nicola also has an interest in nutrition and health education and looks forward to increasing her knowledge in these areas in the future.

Nicola is excited about her move to Newcastle and the coastal lifestyle that it offers. Apart from a year travelling through Asia and Europe, she has lived in Melbourne for most of her life. She is keen to continue practising yoga, going swimming and cycling and plans to study French.
