What is a Dietitian?
Dietetics is the study of the relationship between food and health. Dietetics involves the application of information from several areas of study – bacteriology, chemistry, physiology, biochemistry, behavioural and social sciences together with food and nutritional sciences. Particular focus is placed on the practical application of this knowledge across a wide range of applications scenarios– from the individual and right through to the population level.
